WebDec 26, 2024 · After the burrow is painted it lets you customize how it looks. This is just superficial as it can help for the people who like to have 30+ burrows in a fortress. After customizing you press "Accept" At this point the burrow is formed but no dorfs will be in it. The one exception is if you activate a civilian alert burrow from the military screen; this will force *all* non-active-military dwarves to attempt to move to that burrow for safety. You want to define at least one burrow that's considered a safe area for your civilian dwarves. Then you need a way to tell the dwarves to use that burrow. That's done through the military screen.
