Following national guidance from NHS England, we’re asking GPs not to prescribe these medicines; including for conditions such as coughs, colds, headaches, mouth ulcers, travel sickness and mild toothache. Full details available here. WebAll prescribing across the CCG area and within the provider trusts must comply with the formulary. Advice given to GPs with regard to ongoing medication treatments must also be in line with formulary recommendations. This is monitored on an ongoing basis by the provider trusts and the CCG Medicines Optimisation Team.
