GEOS (later renamed GeoWorks Ensemble, NewDeal Office, and Breadbox Ensemble) is a computer operating environment, graphical user interface (GUI), and suite of application software. Originally released as PC/GEOS, it runs on DOS-based, IBM PC compatible computers. Versions for some handheld platforms were also released and licensed to some companies. WebIn the early 90's, I would buy old 286's and then put geoworks and wordperfect 5.1 on them and sell them on the college boards for cheap. As far as a GUI overlay for DOS it was really top notch. The AOL client included in the bundle was one of the best made - I used it quite a bit to download drivers pre-internet.
