WebJul 20, 2024 · I use Tele Vue Plössls for all my planetary observations and they are excellent for the task. I also have a Fujiyama Ortho but only because Tele Vue doesn't have a Plössl below 8mm. Clear skies! Rick Sure they do: it's called the Nagler 3-6 zoom. Plössl fov with better eye relief, around 10 mm. It fits right in with the TV Plössls. WebDec 18, 2007 · TeleVue Plossls are perhaps the finest Plossls in the world for on-axis contrast and sharpness. TeleVue Plossls have concave eye and field lenses which provide a very well-corrected outer field. The field is flat and sharp to the edge in my f/5 Dobs. The faintest stars on-axis will still be seen as they drift out of the field of view.

The 8mm is quite tight on eye relief which some people do not get on with. The quality of the TV plossl optics are very good, tested down to f/ 4 .
